Apple Resourcing are looking for an experienced Junior Buyer to join our client, a UK leading Importer and Wholesale Distributor, on a full-time permanent basis in Basildon.

Working hours are Monday- Friday 9am-5pm, Salary NEG DOE + Benefits !

Responsibilities;

• Having an awareness of current & upcoming trends within the Housewares sector, shaping products & ranges to reflect this
• Ensure price, quality, lead times and traceability throughout the procurement process
• Supplier negotiation to ensure most competitive price always achieved
• Establish strong relationships with site managers and suppliers
• Work closely & effectively with the other departments such as design, marketing, QC and sales
• Engagement with new and existing suppliers, to source and develop profitable new products and ranges

Requirements;

• Previous experience in working in a procurement/supply chain role
• Experienced in Microsoft Excel
• Strong ability to influence and negotiate
• Good organisational skills; with the ability to deal with multiple tasks
• Excellent attention to detail
