Our client is currently looking to recruit a Principle Insurance Officer on a temporary on going basis to provide high quality support to the Head of Insurance Risk in administration

The key features of the role are to build strong relationships with key contacts; to follow robust processes and procedures and to maintain clear, accurate, auditable and comprehensive records.

You will be leading a dedicated small team in the day to day administration and management of the Groups insurance portfolio for the various insurance policies.  In addition, you will be managing complex claims, and provide an excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate annual insurance renewal process, which will include collection and evaluation of the relevant data from the Group and collation into an appropriate format in preparation of presenting to the brokers
  • Be directly involved in the day to day administration and management of the Groups insurance portfolio for the various insurance policies
  • Attend site meetings and ensure any risk improvements are completed in line with the necessary guidance.
  • Confidently advise the business on Insurance Risk
  • Lead on claims management and produce associated statistics, when required
  • Analyse and monitor the claims handling process with internal and external parties and ensure that the service is operating in a cost-effective manner
  • Liaise with claimants, solicitors, insurers, loss adjusters, senior officers in helping to provide a professional insurance service
  • Regularly review the Care and Support contracts to ensure adequate cover is in place
  • Monitor and regularly review the Engineering portfolio and liaise with the insurers and internal stakeholders to ensure full compliance.
  • Manage the Motor Fleet portfolio and provide solutions to mitigate risks
  • Monitor the construction insurance programme to ensure sufficient cover
  • Assist with the budget review process as / when necessary
  • Be responsible for the performance and compliance of all direct reports by playing an active role in the appraisal process, coaching and supportive leadership by striving to promote continuous improvement

To be successful in this role, you will have / be:

  • Proven experience in a similar role with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing claims
  • Able to demonstrates analytical and numerical capability as well as excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and be flexible in approach to work
  • Ability to work to tight timescales and under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven experience in a customer care
  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent standard
  • Proven people management experience including internal and external stakeholders
  • A relevant professional qualification
    High degree of proficiency in the use of standard Microsoft software packages; Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Experience of working within the Health & Safety and / or risk industry would be desirable

Hourly rate: £17.63
