Apple Resourcing are looking for a Purchasing Assistant on a full-time permanent basis for our client, a UK leading Importer and Wholesale Distributor, based in Basildon for an immediate start.
Working hours are Monday- Friday 9am-5pm, Salary NEG DOE + benefits !
Responsibilities;
- Working in a busy import purchasing department
- Processing purchase orders
- Checking and arranging payments of invoices, samples, claims etc
- Liaising with suppliers, internal departments and foreign offices
- Inputting data onto mainframe
- Maintaining and updating records
Requirements;
- Previous purchasing experience would be advantageous
- Previous Admin experience
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
- Experience working within the logistics sector would be an advantage
