Description

Apple Resourcing are recruiting for a Transport Administrator on behalf of one of our key clients, a global logistics company based in Thurrock, Essex.

You will be an important part of their Road Freight department, responsibilities include;

  • Managing & facilitating booking instructions from customers and suppliers
  • Processing orders from customers and raising SGL job files
  • Booking transport for orders via sub-contracted road hauliers in the UK and Europe
  • Loading & Delivery checks- liaising with sub-contractors to obtain vehicle details and ensure the collection is on schedule and is delivered by appointment time/date
  • Track shipments, information status updates (In transit checks)
  • Verify details such as stock lists and location
  • Processing invoices
  • Obtain and complete quotations for customers
  • Liaise with customers, hauliers, and sub-contractors daily

Requirements;

  • Must have previous experience working within the Transport, Shipping, Freight or Logistics sector
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Understanding of freight processes
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to daily tasks and workload
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to pick up new skills quickly
  • Computer literate
